Scientific name: Ciconia
nigra
It resembles the white stork,
especially in shape, but it is smaller in size: its height ranges from 90 to
105 cm, and the wingspan, between 173 and 205 cm. The black stork is a shy
species which needs large and very wild territories. It prefers vast forests,
crossed by rivers and swamp vegetation.
