Sand goby

Scientific name: Romanogobio kesslerii
The sand goby is a small-sized species usually living in large rivers from the hill to the lowland regions. A gregarious species, it can form numerous banks in regions that have a relatively slow flowing speed. It can easily be mistaken for the common variety (Gobio gobio), thorough knowledge being necessary for differentiating the two fish species.
