Scientific name: Falco

It is the smallest member of the merlin family,
with a length between 26 and 33 cm and a wingspan of 55 to 69 cm. It feeds on
small species of birds that it hunts in the air, either by spectacular
pursuits, or by ambush, in free dive. A migrating species, a winter host with
inconstant presence, it prefers hill or lowland habitats.
