Scientific Name: Isophya costata
The
name of this sepcies comes from Latin, meaning uniformly swollen, and
the name of the Costata genus refers to the scythe shape on the back
of the cricket. It is greenish in colour, with fawn-red dots. Males
differ form the females by their notably shorter first pair of wings.
They live in lowlands as well as mountain areas, and prefer as
habitat bushy hayfields and forest outskirts.
